Senior Software Engineer, Big Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Assist in designing and enhancing the pipeline to accommodate greater volumes through cloud data warehouses.

• Provide actionable security insights by integrating new data sources.

• Extract new features from the existing data.

• Improve the rating algorithm.

• Work collaboratively with data science and research teams.

• Establish trust with Bitsight customers regarding the quality and integrity of data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in constructing and managing large-scale data pipelines.

• Strong expertise in modern Java programming.

• Solid foundation in computer science principles, including design, data structures, and algorithms.

• Experience collaborating with a team of engineers, designers, and product owners to deliver products to end-users.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience with Python programming.

• Familiarity with Hadoop and Spark ecosystems.

• Knowledge of Data Lakehouse technologies, such as Apache Iceberg.

• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.

• Exposure to StarRocks or similar OLAP engines.

• Experience with CI/CD practices and Kubernetes.

• Background in the IT security domain.
