Senior Software Engineer – Backend Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Architect and enhance distributed systems using Go to manage billions of daily events and messages while storing and indexing petabytes of data.

• Drive architectural choices focused on performance, reliability, and real-time event processing.

• Enhance service-to-service interactions through improved APIs, messaging systems, and event-driven methodologies.

• Collaborate across teams to identify bottlenecks and system challenges, leading initiatives to resolve them for an improved customer experience.

• Address high-throughput challenges within data pipelines, queues, and scheduling infrastructure.

• Capable of debugging large-scale production systems using effective instrumentation, resolving issues promptly and confidently.

• Disseminate knowledge and elevate standards by sharing your progress publicly through short videos, insightful writing, and mentorship.

• Utilize AI tools to prototype, accelerate processes, and enhance decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (generally 10+ years) in developing scalable, distributed systems with Go (or similar statically typed languages).

• Profound experience with databases, both relational (MySQL, Postgres) and non-relational (DynamoDB, BigTable), and optimizing their performance.

• Proficiency working in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP).

• Knowledge of APIs, observability, and managing production systems.
