Senior Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems that support our AI-driven products.

• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, machine learning engineers, data scientists, product managers, and designers to provide comprehensive customer experiences.

• Take ownership of the reliability, performance, and scalability of production systems, proactively identifying and addressing issues before they affect customers.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, adhering to engineering best practices and contributing to a high-quality codebase.

• Engage in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and continuous integration initiatives to uphold engineering excellence.

• Design and implement secure, resilient, and highly available services that cater to the needs of enterprise clients.

• Analyze and improve system architecture to enhance performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Lead technical decisions and foster the team's engineering culture through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in building and operating backend systems, distributed systems, or cloud-native infrastructure in production settings.

• Strong expertise in backend programming languages such as Go and Python.

• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.

• Practical experience with Elasticsearch or similar search and indexing technologies for large-scale datasets.

• Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud platforms.

• Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focused on delivering practical solutions.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to work effectively across engineering and cross-functional teams.
