Senior Software Engineer – Back End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust backend systems utilizing .NET (C#) and other suitable programming languages.

• Architect, deploy, and oversee scalable AWS applications using ECS Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, and various cloud-native technologies.

• Create dependable APIs and services that support mpathic’s platform, products, and AI workflows.

• Manage SQL databases, including PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.

• Make architectural decisions regarding reliability, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

• Assist in the integration of AI models and AI-driven capabilities into production systems and workflows.

• Collaborate with frontend engineers and occasionally contribute to applications based on React.

• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and thoroughly documented code.

• Contribute to engineering standards and promote best practices.

• Offer technical guidance, engage in code reviews, participate in architectural discussions, and facilitate knowledge sharing.

• Tackle complex challenges related to performance optimization, system design, troubleshooting, integrations, and evolving product requirements.

• Stay updated on emerging tools and techniques for cloud infrastructure, services, APIs, and AI applications.

• Conduct targeted proofs of concept with well-defined technical and business outcomes.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, AI, and other teams to convert business and customer needs into scalable technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience, primarily focused on backend development using .NET (C#).

• Practical experience with AWS services, architecture, and best practices for developing and operating cloud-native applications.

• Strong expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Experience in designing scalable and reliable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with React and its ecosystem.

• Ability to navigate ambiguous technical problems from initial requirements through design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and other technical teams.

• A keen interest in emerging technologies and a proactive approach to evaluating new tools and methodologies.
