Senior Software Engineer – Autonomous Vehicles

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of adapting NVIDIA Drive software for both development and production vehicles.

• Analyze, diagnose, and triage intricate issues within safety-critical ADAS and autonomous driving systems—from sensor inputs to functional behaviors.

• Collaborate with OEM and NVIDIA teams to identify the root causes of software and functional issues, proposing both immediate and long-term solutions.

• Assist with vehicle bring-up tasks, including software flashing, on-road and proving ground validation, data logging, and functional validation.

• Comprehend software builds, evaluate functional performance based on data, and identify functional issues.

• Debug and verify active safety features such as emergency braking and emergency steering.

• Ensure comprehensive traceability from requirements to test results, maintaining strict quality reporting and validation coverage.

• Work collaboratively across international, multidisciplinary teams (Europe, US, APAC, India) to effectively coordinate fixes and enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Robust experience in ADAS development and issue triage, with a minimum of 5+ years of involvement in in-vehicle activities.

• Expertise in Linux and/or QNX-based embedded systems.

• Strong knowledge of Active Safety functions from initial concept through to validation.

• Proven ability to systematically identify issues through log analysis, data review, and cross-functional technical collaboration.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).

• Exceptional communication skills — capable of articulating technical findings clearly and succinctly across engineering teams.

• A valid driver’s license and willingness to participate in road testing and travel as necessary.
