Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Independently design and enhance products to address the needs of customers and associates.

• Create, deploy, test, maintain, and provide support for production software applications.

• Develop both functional and destructive test suites to facilitate rapid code deployment.

• Engage in the selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning, and production monitoring of products and tools.

• Collaborate with team members within agile methodologies.

• Work alongside Product Teams to ensure user stories are valuable, developer-ready, comprehensible, and testable.

• Deliver clear communications tailored to various audiences.

• Mentor junior engineers on contemporary software development frameworks.

• Lead technical discussions and assist in the delivery of assigned modules and features.

• Report to a Software Engineer Manager or Senior Manager.

• No travel is required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Preferred 2-4 years of relevant professional experience.

• Experience in building and supporting high-volume, enterprise-level backend applications processing financial transaction data.

• Proficient in designing and developing APIs from the ground up and scalable microservices architectures.

• Hands-on experience with Java, Kafka, Pub/Sub, RESTful APIs, Microservices, and Elasticsearch.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery and cloud-native data solutions.

• Experience in supporting large-scale data environments managing millions of daily transactions and multi-billion record datasets.

• Background in leading small engineering teams or technical workstreams and driving multiple initiatives.

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

• Proven experience collaborating with business stakeholders, product teams, and senior leadership.

• Experience in large enterprise organizations with complex, distributed systems and mission-critical applications.

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, real-time data processing, and high-throughput transaction platforms.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

• At least 3 years of professional experience.
