Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with our hardware and software product teams to create and deliver exceptional web experiences for our gaming community.

• Familiarize yourself with our technology stack — our web application is developed using React and deployed on AWS utilizing containers.

• Implement a new feature within our cloud platform.

• Assess the architecture of our cloud platform, pinpoint areas for enhancement, and work alongside engineering to strategize and implement changes.

• Continue to innovate and introduce features to enrich our web-based experiences for gamers.

• Take the initiative to lead and manage refactoring efforts to sustain a clean, well-tested codebase.

• Investigate new programming languages, frameworks, and tools, and recommend the timing and methods for their adoption.

• Share expertise and best practices regarding code, testing, and documentation quality with your teammates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in full-stack software engineering.

• Proven experience in developing scalable cloud solutions, including containerized environments, database design, and distributed systems.

• Skilled in designing and building web back ends and user interfaces.

• Strong understanding of reliability and observability practices, including logging, tracing, and monitoring within production environments.

• Proficient in utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to expedite delivery and enhance code quality.

• A collaborative attitude with a readiness to share knowledge and learn from peers.

• A strong desire to continuously develop as an engineer.
