Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the Solver framework: Architect the algorithms, execution strategies, and infrastructure that support solver competitions, quote aggregation, and intent-ready execution workflows.

• Promote technical excellence: Lead in-depth code and design reviews, make significant architectural decisions, and maintain the highest engineering standards.

• Collaborate with teams: Partner with product, research, and ecosystem stakeholders to align Solver functionalities with the NEAR Intents roadmap.

• Ensure performance at scale: Achieve low-latency, high-throughput execution across multiple chains and decentralized environments.

• Innovate Solver economics: Develop incentive structures, competition mechanisms, and cryptoeconomic models to enhance and sustain Solver engagement.

• Remain hands-on: Balance leadership responsibilities with active coding, prototyping, and addressing the most challenging technical issues in real-time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering.

• Extensive knowledge in distributed systems, high-performance networking, or large-scale infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of smart contracts, on-chain execution frameworks, or cryptoeconomics.

• Proficiency in Typescript and Go is essential (experience with Rust is advantageous).

• Demonstrated capability to lead globally distributed engineering teams.

• Skilled at simplifying complexity: Decomposing organizational and technical challenges and driving them to resolution.

• Comfortable with ambiguity: You move swiftly, take ownership, and find joy in solving difficult problems.

• Permanent position - Remote for Europe or time zones +6 hours.

• Total compensation ranges from $250K to $280K, consisting of base salary + tokens with a 2-year vesting period and 1-year cliff + a 10% performance bonus.
