Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and develop scalable platform components utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and React.

• Create and sustain distributed systems, real-time data pipelines, and essential microservices to facilitate platform expansion.

• Lead code and architecture evaluations to maintain high benchmarks for reliability, performance, and maintainability.

• Contribute to and advocate for the adoption of contemporary infrastructure practices including CI/CD, containerization (Docker), ArgoCD, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.

• Take ownership of and deliver significant projects from start to finish, converting business requirements and R&D findings into scalable technical solutions.

• Identify opportunities to minimize manual efforts, enhance developer workflows, and boost system resilience.

• Develop systems with a long-term perspective, balancing rapid delivery with sustainability and technical excellence.

• Participate in production support duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, emphasizing backend systems, platform services, or infrastructure.

• Proficient in Node.js and contemporary development patterns (TypeScript/JavaScript).

• Strong experience in designing and scaling distributed systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and deployments in production environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, and containerization tools (Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, New Relic).

• Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, systems design, and networking.

• Exceptional communication abilities and a track record of successful collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
