Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, create, or enhance software and/or software systems while considering the service architecture.

• Evaluate user requirements to determine whether new software should be developed or existing software should be updated.

• Convert business requirements and specifications into effective and scalable software solutions.

• Oversee design and code review sessions.

• Engage in conversations regarding the team's long-term vision and strategic direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a backend software engineer for complex web applications.

• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails; additional experience with Hotwire Turbo/Stimulus and Tailwind is a plus.

• Approaches work with critical thinking to ensure business functionality is achieved.

• Understands and incorporates business objectives into technical decision-making.

• Capable of breaking down large projects into manageable, incremental deliverables.

• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex problems and their solutions.

• Extensive experience in designing data models for relational databases.

• Significant experience using SQL for troubleshooting complex issues or generating intricate reports.

• Strong background in Frontend development or infrastructure (DevOps).

• Previous experience in the FinTech sector is preferred.
