Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs utilizing Node.js.

• Construct and enhance user interfaces with React and Next.js, ensuring smooth integration with backend services.

• Deliver comprehensive features from database and API to frontend UI.

• Optimize and manage intricate MySQL and PostgreSQL database schemas and queries.

• Perform code reviews for both backend and frontend codebases.

• Analyze business requirements in JIRA and convert them into technical solutions.

• Mentor and provide support to junior developers.

• Engage in Kanban-based sprint planning, estimation, and delivery.

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to clarify requirements and offer technical guidance.

• Remain updated with emerging technologies and propose enhancements to the tech stack and development processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Experience as a Full Stack Developer delivering both frontend and backend features.

• Strong expertise in Node.js backend development.

• Proficient in React and Next.js.

• Advanced experience with MySQL, including query optimization, schema design, and migrations.

• Solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL.

• Ability to write unit tests for both frontend and backend.

• Familiarity with REST API design and best practices.

• Experience using VSCode, Git, branching, and pull requests.

• Knowledge of Kanban or similar Agile methodologies.

• Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Strong experience with React (>18) and Next.js (>14).

• Advanced SQL skills, particularly in PostgreSQL/MySQL, including joins, indexing, and migrations.

• Understanding of database relationships and data modeling in Node.js applications.

• Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Experienced with VSCode and modern developer tools.

• Capability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
