Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Analyze, design, unit test, and build robust large-scale applications.

• Develop secure, scalable, and highly available distributed applications.

• Collaborate with product management and quality assurance teams to deliver highly efficient features and functionalities.

• Take responsibility for the design and development of product features.

• Engage in code and feature reviews, providing constructive feedback.

• Offer guidance and support regarding your features to various cross-functional teams within the organization.

• Mentor and coach fellow team members.

• Draft technical documentation explaining the implementation of new modules and products.

• Participate in the complete life-cycle development process, from definition and design to product delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• BE/BTech/MCA/MSC IT with 5 - 9 years of relevant experience.

• Strong understanding of and experience with object-oriented methodologies, enterprise application architectures, and design patterns.

• Expert-level knowledge of application development using Java.

• Experience in developing RESTful applications using Spring Boot deployed on public cloud environments such as AWS and/or Azure.

• Highly experienced in software development processes, especially software design and unit/integration testing with JUnit.

• Solid understanding of application software, secure coding practices, scalability, performance, and reliability considerations.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.

• A highly motivated individual, eager to accept challenges, continuously innovate and learn, and assist others.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Experience with relational database management systems and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.

• Familiarity with messaging technologies like Kafka and JMS.

• Strong domain skills in Navis N4 TOS will be an added advantage.
