Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and implement scalable web applications and internal tools to facilitate Marketing Operations and eCommerce processes.

• Act as a technical lead on projects, simplifying complex issues and directing implementation across various teams.

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with strategic goals.

• Conduct technical planning, estimation, and the execution of medium to large-scale projects.

• Produce clean, maintainable code accompanied by thorough documentation and automated tests.

• Establish and uphold engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

• Execute peer code reviews and offer mentorship to software engineers.

• Define and implement quality assurance strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, regression testing, and monitoring protocols.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate bugs and system issues in both production and staging environments.

• Enhance system reliability, performance, security, and scalability.

• Contribute to the advancement of the Workbench CMS and other internal platforms utilized for content creation, localization, and campaign execution.

• Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of full-stack software engineering experience with an emphasis on scalable and maintainable systems.

• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor developers within the engineering team.

• Advanced expertise in modern web development tools and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js, React, Node.js).

• Experience in architecting RESTful APIs and engaging with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Strong grasp of QA methodologies and test-driven development practices.

• Familiarity with CMS platforms, marketing automation tools, and analytics frameworks.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience in Agile and DevOps environments using tools such as Jira, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
