Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement reliable, maintainable, scalable, and fault-tolerant backend services that support both our internal and external systems.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including scientists, product managers, and fellow engineers, to tackle complex challenges and deliver top-notch software solutions.

• Mentor and support junior engineers, encouraging their development and enhancing the team's technical capabilities.

• Lead code and design reviews, advocate for engineering best practices, and promote a culture of quality and teamwork.

• Contribute to the creation of data infrastructure for machine learning applications, ensuring effective data processing and integration.

• Drive the adoption of engineering hygiene practices to maintain the reliability and maintainability of our systems.

• Advocate for and implement cutting-edge software development methodologies and tools to boost team efficiency and product quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, and/or work experience.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience as part of a software development team successfully delivering software products, including leading projects from start to finish and mentoring others.

• Proficiency in Python and experience in backend development within a collaborative production environment.

• Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Proven track record in designing and implementing scalable backend systems, focusing on reliability and performance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a thoughtful and transparent approach to collaboration.
