Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• In this position, you will be responsible for developing APIs that deliver crucial functionalities to assist our customers in expanding their businesses, serving as a foundational element of Enfuce's service offerings for the foreseeable future as we progress towards our next-generation cloud-native modular API.

• As a Senior Software Engineer within Enfuce’s Issuing & Onboarding domain, your role will be pivotal in constructing the core systems that drive our cutting-edge, multi-tenant issuing platform.

• You will design and implement scalable, API-driven services for customer onboarding, tenant provisioning, and program configuration, ensuring a seamless, self-service experience.

• Operating at the convergence of infrastructure, APIs, and product, you will contribute to shaping essential platform capabilities such as lifecycle orchestration, configuration management, and developer enablement.

• This role presents a distinctive opportunity to impact the architecture of Enfuce’s future platform, taking ownership of critical components from start to finish and addressing complex challenges in a dynamic, high-stakes fintech environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess strong proficiency in developing robust, scalable Java services.

• You have practical experience in designing, building, and managing applications in AWS.

• You have developed high-performance applications utilizing the Spring framework.

• Experience with SQL, preferably with Oracle, Aurora, or Postgres databases.

• You have a growth mindset, eager to learn about card issuing and the payments industry, and you excel at pushing your technical boundaries.

• You demonstrate excellent communication skills in English and possess strong collaboration abilities.

• You are prepared to coach and mentor fellow engineers, providing constructive feedback during code reviews to uplift the entire team.

• Experience in the payments industry is a plus. (Nice to have)

• Familiarity with OpenAPI documentation standards is desirable. (Nice to have)

• Proficiency in Test-Driven Development (TDD) using jUnit is a plus. (Nice to have)

• Experience in building AWS cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK is beneficial. (Nice to have)

• Experience with Generative AI or AI agents (e.g., coding assistance, testing, or automation) is advantageous. (Nice to have)
