Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of planning, designing, implementing, and testing essential full-stack features.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the cannabis industry, its supply chain, and the intricate workflows of our customers.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and customer support to effectively shape and deliver projects from start to finish.

• Actively communicate status updates to the wider organization.

• Strike a balance between speed and quality — utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency while maintaining high standards for deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in modern technology stacks — our tech includes React, TypeScript, Apollo, GraphQL, Elixir/Phoenix, and Postgres; however, we believe that talented engineers can adapt to any technology.

• Practical experience using AI coding tools, along with insights on their advantages, limitations, and methods to uphold quality.

• Experience working in early-stage startups.

• Successfully owned and delivered features end-to-end, ensuring quality and predictability.

• Capable of writing high-quality code with robust test coverage.

• Able to articulate complex logic through clear, comprehensible code.

• Strong background in SQL/Postgres, which is crucial for an ERP with intricate data relationships.

• Set timelines and proactively relay progress to both the team and stakeholders.

• Address concerns promptly regarding risky changes — including data integrity, compliance, and irreversible operations.

• Demonstrate clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

• Bonus: experience in developing complex SaaS products (logistics, supply chain, accounting, etc.).

• Bonus: familiarity with the cannabis industry.

• Bonus: experience working remotely, preferably on a distributed team.
