Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Design and create scalable web applications that cater to patients and clinicians across various markets.

• Participate in platform consolidation initiatives, collaborating with both legacy and rebuilt systems to provide unified functionality.

• Develop strong, secure integrations with healthcare systems, including electronic health records, prescription monitoring, and telehealth infrastructure.

• Assume responsibility for projects from their inception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across different time zones to define technical solutions and roadmaps.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in accordance with engineering best practices.

• Develop and enhance APIs for optimal performance, scalability, and security within a healthcare framework.

• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members, fostering a robust engineering culture.

• Navigate complex technical decisions that reconcile immediate operational requirements with long-term platform architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Proficient full-stack development experience with contemporary web frameworks (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar).

• Experience in building scalable web applications utilizing both backend and frontend technologies.

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Vercel, or similar) and current deployment practices.

• Proven ability to work effectively across multiple codebases and technical platforms.

• Strong emphasis on testing, with experience in implementing comprehensive unit and integration tests.

• Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and integrations with third parties.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed team setting.
