Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and maintain distributed backend systems utilizing Go, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and DynamoDB.

• Collaborate across functions with product managers, designers, and enterprise partners to outline user journeys, performance objectives, and success metrics.

• Take ownership of essential components of Connectly’s platform infrastructure — ranging from messaging orchestration to data pipelines and API integrations.

• Work closely with product, AI, and frontend teams to deliver scalable features for customers.

• Ensure the reliability, observability, and operational excellence of all services.

• Establish, monitor, and refine performance metrics, using data to enhance outcomes and drive quantifiable business results.

• Collaborate asynchronously with global teams, ensuring effective communication and thorough documentation.

• Plan and oversee your workstream, making informed trade-offs between deadlines, quality, and innovation.

• Mentor colleagues, participate in code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices in a dynamic, distributed setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in practical software engineering roles.

• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling enterprise systems with Go, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and/or DynamoDB.

• Familiarity with Python is a plus.

• Background in frontend engineering (React, TypeScript, etc.) is advantageous.

• Previous experience in developing or deploying WhatsApp conversational applications is highly desirable.

• Experience in fast-paced, customer-focused environments, preferably within a startup or rapidly growing tech company.

• Located in Europe; operates on a remote-first basis with occasional team offsite events.
