Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop precise, dependable, scalable, and feature-rich cloud systems that facilitate usage-based billing and pricing, driving Confluent’s revenue across all products and worldwide markets.

• Engage in business-critical processes from conception to execution through close collaboration with Product Managers and various engineering and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

• Expertise in architecting, designing, and building highly scalable and high-performance backend services.

• Proficient in a major programming language such as Go, Java, C, or C++.

• Experience with Kubernetes and public cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Knowledge of Kafka, streaming technologies, and SaaS platform development.

• Extensive understanding of designing distributed systems in the cloud.

• Proven experience managing production services in public clouds, focusing on quality, accuracy, and operational excellence.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.

• A strategic engineer who continually seeks operational enhancements to meet service availability and performance SLAs.

• Adept at troubleshooting technical issues across services and various technical layers, including microservices, containers, and virtualization.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
