This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

• Lead projects from initial concept to implementation and ongoing production operations.
• Design, construct, operate, and maintain essential systems with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and availability.
• Develop and sustain production backend services and APIs that facilitate core customer and business workflows.
• Contribute to both customer-facing and internal web applications, including our account management portal.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Grafana systems and external business platforms like NetSuite, Salesforce, and other third-party services.
• Collaborate across internal services, APIs, and external systems to create reliable data flows and critical business automations.
• Continuously enhance the existing codebase by addressing technical debt, fortifying CI/CD pipelines, and expanding test coverage.
• Take responsibility for the services your team operates, including engaging in on-call rotations.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the company using asynchronous communication and regular video meetings.
• Engage in one or more significant AppCore domains such as billing, provisioning, cloud marketplace integrations, account management workflows, and business systems integrations.
• Participate in technical design discussions and assist in developing pragmatic solutions to business-critical challenges.

• Strong software engineering experience with at least one modern programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Go, or similar technologies.
• Extensive experience in building and maintaining production backend services and APIs.
• Solid experience in frontend development using TypeScript, particularly in modern web applications.
• Ability to effectively work across the technology stack to deliver comprehensive features that span backend systems, APIs, integrations, and customer-facing web experiences.
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining integrations between internal services and external platforms.
• Familiarity with external business systems like NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar SaaS platforms via APIs, events, or middleware.
• Capability to design reliable interactions across APIs, asynchronous workflows, and service boundaries.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining production systems and services.
• Track record of delivering projects from concept to production in a self-driven manner.
• Understanding of ownership in a “you build it, you own it” environment, which includes operational responsibilities.
• Experience writing clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.
• Strong grasp of contemporary software development practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in distributed team settings.
• Ability to navigate both technical and business problem domains, partnering with stakeholders to provide practical solutions.
