Senior Software Engineer, API Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee projects from conception to production for both new products and existing APIs.

• Develop new APIs and trading products, which includes researching problems, designing architecture, and delivering initial versions.

• Maintain and enhance existing APIs, providing support for new chains, bridges, and features requested by customers.

• Ensure APIs remain efficient and dependable as traffic increases.

• Take part in the on-call rotation.

• Analyze failed trades and stalled transfers using logs, traces, and on-chain data.

• Identify and resolve the root causes of trading and transfer problems.

• Collaborate with product, legal, and go-to-market teams to convert business and compliance requirements into technical solutions.

• Create design documentation.

• Review the designs and pull requests of team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of backend engineering experience, with at least 2 years in the DeFi space.

• Background in a trading application, wallet, DEX aggregator, on-chain data company, or a similar field.

• Senior or Lead Engineer with proven experience in managing complex projects from start to finish.

• Experience in building and maintaining developer-facing APIs.

• Extensive knowledge of on-chain operations, particularly EVM, including calldata, contract interfaces, gas, and approvals.

• Strong expertise in system design for production-scale backend services.

• Proficient AI user who utilizes AI to enhance engineering productivity without compromising decision-making.

• Excellent communicator capable of articulating technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

• Alignment with the company’s core values.

• Willingness to participate in annual in-person team retreats globally.

• Experience with cross-chain/bridging or DEX aggregation is a plus.

• Familiarity with ecosystems beyond EVM, such as Solana, is advantageous.

• Experience with TypeScript and/or Rust is a plus.
