This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Execute advanced end-to-end software engineering tasks encompassing system design, development, analysis, configuration, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documentation, health monitoring/alerting, and implementation.
• Collaborate with users to ascertain hardware, software, and system functional specifications.
• Ensure efficient resource utilization and serve as a subject matter expert across various applications, systems, and technologies.
• Utilize technical and business acumen to plan and implement complex initiatives.
• Engage in design and development processes while providing technical leadership.
• Conduct complex analyses, advanced design, configuration, and development for significant, high-visibility tasks.
• Direct and implement solutions for moderately complex, loosely defined problems that align with team objectives.
• Manage efforts independently and by guiding other team members.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of critical, high-impact issues, defects, and incidents.
• Advocate for technology advancements and pinpoint opportunities for business improvement.
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship while nurturing a collaborative team environment.
• Apply industry trends and methodologies to devise solutions.
• Design and engineer solutions utilizing large language models and agentic frameworks.
• Create and publish plugins, extensions, and integrations within developer tooling ecosystems.
• Promote AI adoption throughout engineering teams, identify use cases, and coach engineers on AI-assisted development practices.
• Develop and deploy agentic solutions on AWS Agent Core or comparable platforms.
• Coordinate enterprise AI initiatives, managing stakeholders, governance, compliance, and engineering standards.
• Determine software design strategies and methodologies, employ automated testing and feedback loops, and oversee system health.
• Cultivate business partnerships, influence priorities, and disseminate domain knowledge.
• Leverage data and proofs of concept to address challenging problems, assess impact, and optimize solutions.
• Clearly communicate technology concepts, document initiatives, collaborate across roles, and exchange constructive feedback.
• Take initiative without defined ownership and inspire and motivate team members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Minimum five years of programming/development experience.
• Practical experience in software engineering, including building or integrating solutions with large language model APIs or agentic frameworks.
• Experience in contributing to or leading plugins, extensions, or integrations within a shared developer tooling platform.
• Hands-on experience in designing and engineering LLM and agentic framework solutions.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms, such as Claude, SAGE, or AIDLC.
• Proven experience in building and publishing plugins, extensions, or integrations within a developer tool ecosystem.
• Ability to establish contribution standards and drive adoption across engineering teams.
• Demonstrated capability to champion AI adoption across multiple engineering teams and mentor engineers on AI-assisted development practices.
• Experience in building and deploying agentic solutions on AWS Agent Core or equivalent cloud-native AI orchestration platforms.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) server development, configuration, and integration.
• Ability to coordinate AI initiatives across a large enterprise, including governance, compliance, and distributed engineering standards.
• Advanced skills in delivery, including software design strategy, automated testing, analysis, feedback loops, production readiness, and health monitoring.
• Proven domain expertise and ability to cultivate business partnerships and influence priorities.
• Strong problem-solving abilities using data and proofs of concept.
• Excellent communication skills, encompassing technical documentation, collaboration, and constructive feedback.
• Strong leadership abilities, including influencing, motivating, and acting without clear ownership.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
• An additional six years of software engineering experience is preferred.
