Senior Software Engineer – AI Search, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and services focused on search functionality.

• Implement and enhance search and AI-driven semantic algorithms.

• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and product teams to achieve project goals.

• Monitor and improve search performance continuously.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 5 years of experience with C# and .NET.

• At least 3 years of experience with Python.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Redis.

• At least 2 years of experience with PostgreSQL.

• Proficient in Test Driven Development (TDD).

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, etc.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures using tools like Kafka.

• Experience in container technologies including Docker.

• Proficient in microservice frameworks, particularly Kubernetes (K8s).

• Experienced in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.

• Knowledge of Domain Driven Development (DDD) or feature toggles (Launch Darkly) is a plus.

• Cloud Expertise: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.

• Preferred: Experience with search/retrieval/AI, particularly in search platforms like ElasticSearch or Apache Solr.

• SaaS Knowledge: Extensive experience in developing SaaS applications.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
