Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain scalable, robust RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails.

• Engage in the entire development lifecycle: architecture, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring in production.

• Contribute to the evolution of the core monolithic application as well as microservices projects and integrations with partners (such as ERPs, payment gateways, and external platforms).

• Ensure technical excellence through Code Reviews, adherence to engineering best practices (Clean Code, SOLID), and team standards.

• Monitor and enhance performance: application performance management, resource optimization, and query analysis and improvement.

• Collaborate within cross-functional squads in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban), fostering close collaboration between engineering and product teams.

• Transition between contexts when necessary with teams and processes in TypeScript and mobile, maintaining a comprehensive perspective.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated senior expertise in Ruby on Rails.

• In-depth knowledge of REST APIs (design, documentation, and usage).

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling.

• Proficient with Git/GitHub.

• Strong understanding of automated testing (e.g., RSpec) and various testing methodologies including unit, integration, and black-box testing.

• Familiarity with Cloud services (AWS).

• Ownership mentality: demonstrates autonomy, proactivity, and a commitment to delivering value with technical accountability.

• Preferred / Nice to have:

• Experience with microservices architecture and messaging (AWS SNS/SQS).

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and caching/queuing systems: Redis, DocumentDB, DynamoDB.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Argo CD).

• Proficiency in Spanish (not mandatory).

• Understanding of TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Flutter.
