Senior Software Engineer, AI Platform Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement full-stack capabilities that facilitate AI initiatives throughout Keeper’s product offerings.

• Collaborate across various product codebases to detect and address technical dependencies impacting AI development.

• Create backend services, APIs, and integration layers that link AI functionalities with existing Keeper applications.

• Construct or enhance frontend experiences that showcase AI-driven features to end users.

• Work closely with AI engineers to translate model, agent, and platform requirements into production-ready software.

• Expand shared services and platform capabilities to enable reusable AI integrations across diverse products.

• Incorporate LLM-powered services, agents, and tool-calling workflows or similar AI capabilities into secure production settings.

• Design integrations with a focus on execution safety, reliability, observability, and predictable system behavior.

• Diagnose complex issues involving APIs, authentication, authorization, backend services, user interfaces, and cross-product data flows.

• Directly contribute to existing codebases while adhering to established engineering standards and architectural patterns.

• Assess technical trade-offs and pinpoint pragmatic solutions to minimize cross-team dependencies and expedite delivery.

• Uphold strong security, privacy, and zero-knowledge principles while implementing AI-enhanced functionalities.

• Engage in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and code reviews across various engineering teams.

• Develop automated tests and integrate new functionalities into CI/CD workflows to ensure reliability and readiness for release.

• Monitor and enhance the performance, latency, reliability, and operational behavior of AI-integrated features.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for integrations, shared services, and implementation decisions.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools like Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms extensively to enhance coding, debugging, research, testing, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong full-stack development expertise in both backend and frontend systems.

• Significant experience in creating production backend services, APIs, and distributed application functionalities.

• Proficiency in modern frontend development utilizing JavaScript or TypeScript and frameworks such as React.

• Extensive experience with at least one backend language, such as Rust, Java, Kotlin, C#, Go, or Python, with a strong preference for Rust.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate across multiple codebases, technologies, and product architectures.

• Experience in integrating complex systems via APIs, services, messaging, or similar application integration patterns.

• Solid understanding of software architecture, authentication, authorization, data flows, and secure application design.

• Proven experience in building and deploying production software in SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise environments.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities across frontend, backend, and integration layers.

• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to swiftly comprehend unfamiliar systems and contribute significant production code across various product areas.

• In-depth understanding of secure software development practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across AI, Product, and Engineering teams.

• Proven ability and willingness to effectively utilize modern AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, research, testing, and documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
