Senior Software Engineer – AI-Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Utilize AI-driven and agentic development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot as a fundamental aspect of software delivery.

• Coordinate AI agents across multiple parallel workstreams and assess, confirm, or modify their outputs.

• Review and authenticate AI-generated code while taking responsibility for the resulting software.

• Break down unclear problems into well-defined specifications and prompts.

• Design, construct, scale, deploy, and maintain B-Stock's marketplace platform.

• Create and implement systems that support e-commerce, content, and fulfillment operations.

• Rapidly deliver software utilizing AI without compromising on quality or ownership.

• Offer thought leadership regarding engineering processes, tools, systems, software architecture, and AI integration.

• Enhance existing systems and eliminate development friction.

• Mentor engineers through design and architecture planning, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, product owners, technical leads, engineers, and other teams on key projects.

• Engage in continuous learning and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software development.

• Proficiency in using agentic and AI-assisted development tools.

• Strong engineering judgment for reviewing and verifying AI-generated code.

• Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and a backend language such as Node.js, Python, or Ruby.

• Outstanding problem-solving skills.

• Ability to deliver effective software solutions promptly.

• Clear, friendly, and open-minded communication style.

• Experience working successfully in an agile environment.

• Capability to decompose large tasks and deliver incremental value.

• Familiarity with TypeScript / JavaScript and React.

• Experience with Node.js.

• Knowledge of MongoDB / PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience with Docker / Kubernetes.
