Senior Software Development Engineer – Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the design of system and component-level test architectures, working alongside engineers and architects to assess options and make informed technical choices.

• Take ownership of the complete technical execution of key quality initiatives, from design to delivery, while proactively identifying and addressing risks and dependencies.

• Drive cross-team initiatives and influence decisions at the platform level.

• Maintain high engineering standards by actively engaging in code reviews and implementing best practices in CI/CD, testing, observability, and DevOps.

• Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to define performance benchmarks, SLOs, and acceptance criteria; lead the resolution of performance regressions through root cause analysis and actionable recommendations.

• Work closely with Product, UX, QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to provide solutions that fulfill both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Lead complex incident response efforts and conduct technical root cause analyses, including participation in on-call duties.

• Mentor and support engineers, promoting strong engineering judgment, collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning.

• Remain actively involved in coding, delivering high-quality, production-ready code for critical components and challenging problem areas.

• Balance immediate delivery needs with the long-term technical integrity of the system.

• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues and test failures, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root cause analysis.

• Facilitate alignment between product priorities and technical execution, contributing to consistent, high-quality delivery.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 9–12 years of professional experience in software development.

• Expert-level understanding of software architecture and system design.

• Advanced proficiency in test automation utilizing the Microsoft stack, including C# / .NET Core, along with experience in Angular, React, or Node.js applications from a testability and end-to-end validation perspective.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale, cloud-based systems.

• Proven track record of writing test automation at all levels to ensure application functionality and performance objectives are achieved.

• Strong database expertise, including knowledge of SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB, particularly in performance tuning and scalability.

• Extensive experience in designing and scaling test automation frameworks, applying TDD/BDD methodologies, and establishing quality-driven development practices across engineering teams.

• Expert-level capability across the entire automation spectrum — unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and contract testing — with a history of enforcing testing best practices and enhancing quality standards for full stack applications.

• Proven ability to lead thorough performance and load testing initiatives, establishing SLOs and benchmarks, and resolving regressions across the stack.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder influence skills.

• Ability to drive change within complex technical environments.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% as business needs arise.

• Role requires the following physical capacity: Sedentary - primarily desk/computer work.
