Senior Software Development Engineer, iOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create iOS application software from initial concept to production for millions of drivers and vehicles worldwide.

• Engage actively in reviewing, assessing, and providing insights on product designs and architectures with a focus on software engineering.

• Analyze and suggest new and emerging technologies and products.

• Author and contribute to high-quality documentation intended for software engineers.

• Collaborate effectively with product managers, product designers, and other technical specialists.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

• Over 5 years of practical software engineering experience in native iOS application development.

• More than 5 years of experience in Swift and the iOS app development ecosystem.

• At least 3 years of experience in mobile frontend application architecture, which includes modular application design, state management, and navigation strategies.

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• A strong commitment to software testing and a preference for working in an agile environment.

• Experience and a passion for delivering exceptional end products to customers globally.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adjust your communication style for different audiences and influence cross-functional peers including engineering, product, and design stakeholders.

• Proven capability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment focused on major transformation.

• Experience in building and deploying production-grade software or services.

• A strong desire to work collaboratively, address challenges with teams, find mutually beneficial solutions, and celebrate successes with fellow engineers.

• Solid experience working in CI/CD environments.

• Familiarity with software operations (DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Observability, Support and Maintenance), including debugging in local environments, tracing production issues, performance testing, and load testing.

• Proficient in Swift iOS development.

• Extensive experience in UI design using SwiftUI.

• Skills in CI (Fastlane) and scripting.

• Knowledge of architectural patterns commonly used on Apple platforms (MVVM, MVC, etc.).

• Working knowledge, and ideally some practical experience, with the Composable Architecture library (TCA).

• Familiarity with Ruby for scripting purposes.
