This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Assess the existing QA/SDET landscape across various teams and establish a comprehensive end-to-end testing framework.
• Determine the priority of QA and SDET initiatives based on system complexity and associated risks.
• Identify coverage gaps, including any missing end-to-end tests.
• Guide teams through the discovery process and decision-making regarding testing strategies and tools.
• Create and implement a thorough testing strategy utilizing a profound understanding of the Test Pyramid.
• Act as a technical testing leader, fostering innovation through research, prototyping, and AI-driven testing methodologies.
• Engage actively with Playwright, contributing production-quality automation code.
• Develop and maintain test documentation, which includes test cases, scripts, and reports.
• Create and uphold test automation frameworks adhering to SOLID principles and clean-code practices.
• Operate within an Agile environment, collaborating closely with engineering teams.
• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and evaluate test results, providing actionable insights.
• Conduct exploratory testing and assist with root cause analysis for complex issues.
• Participate in all Agile scrum team activities, including story refinement and testing.
• Extensive experience as a Software Engineer, SDET, or Test Automation Engineer.
• Demonstrated experience in designing testing strategies for complex, enterprise-level systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (essential).
• Solid engineering background with object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C#.
• Proficient scripting experience (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• Experience with API testing, database testing, and distributed systems.
• In-depth understanding of Agile Testing Quadrants, BDD, ATDD/TDD.
• Excellent communication skills with a high degree of assertiveness.
• Experience working in large organizations with intricate systems.
• Experience incorporating AI into testing workflows is highly preferred.
