Senior Software Developer – Real-Time Processing Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance the fundamental components of the real-time detection and event processing platform.

• Build and advance large-scale distributed systems that process and analyze trillions of events daily in near real time.

• Develop functionalities across event processing systems, detection frameworks, event correlation platforms, and stream-processing infrastructures.

• Address engineering challenges concerning scalability, reliability, performance, latency, throughput, and cost efficiency within cloud-native environments.

• Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of next-generation platform capabilities.

• Deliver production-ready software and manage systems at a massive scale.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance platform effectiveness and operational excellence.

• Mentor and assist other developers while promoting ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 10+ years of professional software development experience.

• Proven track record in designing, building, and operating complex distributed systems at scale.

• Strong foundation in real-time data processing architectures and high-throughput systems.

• Experience in delivering end-to-end production systems and autonomously driving complex technical initiatives.

• Proficient programming skills in one or more languages including Golang, Python, or Java.

• Experience in building and deploying services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Comfortable operating within microservices architectures and CI/CD environments.

• Familiarity with platforms such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Spark, Redpanda, RabbitMQ, SQS, or similar is advantageous.

• Exposure to cybersecurity, observability, telemetry, or other data-intensive platforms is preferred.

• Background checks are mandatory.
