Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Quantiphi is in search of a Senior Software Developer to create and develop scalable, high-performance web applications utilizing a modern Java-based stack.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy comprehensive full stack applications with Java, Spring Framework, jQuery, React, and SQL.

• Construct and maintain backend services and APIs with an emphasis on performance, security, and scalability.

• Create responsive, user-friendly front-end components by leveraging contemporary JavaScript practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data engineers, and designers, to deliver top-quality solutions.

• Enhance database performance and write efficient queries across relational databases.

• Engage in code reviews and promote best practices in coding, architecture, and design.

• Assist with CI/CD pipelines and contribute to the enhancement of deployment processes.

• Contribute to automated testing strategies and elevate overall code quality.

• Mentor junior developers (Senior level) or actively pursue learning and growth within the team (Intermediate level).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Over 7 years of experience as a full stack developer, preferably with a focus on complex, data-driven applications.

• Strong experience with Java and the Spring Framework (with a preference for Spring Boot).

• Solid front-end experience using JavaScript and jQuery.

• Strong proficiency in SQL (e.g., MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Understanding of full-stack application architecture and design patterns.

• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.

• Nice to have: Experience with modern front-end frameworks like React.

• Nice to have: Experience with automated testing tools such as Cypress or Playwright.

• Nice to have: Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Nice to have: Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.

• Nice to have: Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
