Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of scalable full-stack applications and platform functionalities.

• Create and develop modern web applications using React as the primary framework and Angular as a secondary option, ensuring optimal performance, responsiveness, and maintainability.

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs, working in close collaboration with architecture, product, QA, and operations teams.

• Engage in discussions regarding application design, technical solutions, and architectural assessments.

• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, offering technical leadership across various development projects.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to clarify, prioritize, and fulfill business requirements within an Agile setting.

• Conduct code reviews while advocating for engineering best practices, coding standards, and secure development methodologies.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate production issues, performance challenges, and application defects.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of software architecture, CI/CD pipelines, cloud integration, and development practices.

• Generate and update technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational runbooks.

• Take part in an on-call production support rotation (approximately every 6 weeks) to maintain application stability and ensure prompt issue resolution.

• Offer production release assistance during scheduled release windows, which includes involvement in release activities on assigned Sundays (typically every second Sunday).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

• A minimum of 6 years of software development experience with substantial full-stack development expertise.

• Proficient hands-on experience in developing front-end applications using React and Angular.

• Familiarity with building and utilizing RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with backend services.

• Practical knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development methodologies.

• Strong SQL proficiency, with the ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries (approximately 6/10 proficiency or higher).

• Experience in the Banking, Financial Services, and/or FinTech (BFS) sector.

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, application architecture, design patterns, and secure coding practices.

• Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments using tools such as JIRA and Onfluence.
