Senior Software Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Define and document the comprehensive architecture of software systems, encompassing application, data, and infrastructure elements.

• Spearhead the design and development of microservices architecture, APIs, and distributed systems.

• Create and sustain architectural documentation, which includes diagrams, specifications, and standards.

• Investigate and assess emerging technologies and trends to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing the architecture.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.

• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to comprehend requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure compliance with architectural principles and coding standards.

• Keep updated with industry best practices and trends in software architecture, design patterns, and emerging technologies.

• Identify and resolve technical issues related to software architecture, performance, and scalability.

• Develop and execute solutions to tackle architectural challenges and enhance system performance.

• Proactively recognize potential risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Contribute to the formulation of the technology strategy and roadmap, aligning with the organization's overarching business objectives.

• Assess and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the software development process and boost system capabilities.

• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the development team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Software Architect or in a similar capacity.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and executing complex software systems, including microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.

• Strong knowledge of architectural patterns, design principles, and best practices for developing scalable and maintainable software.

• Proficiency in various programming languages, such as Java, Python, Go, or C#.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, including infrastructure as code, containerization, and serverless computing.

• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong emphasis on technical solutions.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, leading and inspiring others to achieve shared objectives.

• A passion for technology and a continuous eagerness to learn and grow.
