Senior SOC Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Engage in the oversight and fine-tuning of detection systems to address new and emerging threats.

• Apply best practices to create innovative automation and tools aimed at enhancing resilience against new and emerging dangers.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Support, Threat Operations, and Technical Services teams to offer clients a comprehensive approach to effectiveness.

• Document threats and trends for both internal and external communication purposes.

• Assist users in submitting CSI remediation requests.

• Function within a 24x7 follow-the-sun operational environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in anti-abuse email deliverability, threat, or related security research domains.

• Exhibits strong analytical capabilities and creative problem-solving skills.

• Solid understanding of the Internet and the methods malicious actors use to exploit available resources.

• Extensive technical experience with email, mobile, DNS, or other messaging technologies.

• Proficiency in Shell and Go is preferred, with Perl and Python also acceptable.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Document and communicate findings to the team effectively.

• Good familiarity with SIEM tools like Splunk or Kibana.

• Basic knowledge of SQL.

• Previous experience with an Internet Service Provider, Email Service Provider, or Mobile Operator.

• Familiarity with writing regular expressions (regex).

• Understanding of operating systems and network protocols.

• Proficiency in a language other than English.
