This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation logic on Snowflake utilizing SnowSQL, Snowpark, Streams, Tasks, and Warehouses.
• Construct and enhance complex SQL queries, stored procedures, UDFs, and performance-optimized queries.
• Implement frameworks for data ingestion and integrations from APIs, files, SaaS platforms, cloud storage, and additional sources.
• Model and structure data using 3NF, Data Vault, and dimensional modeling techniques.
• Optimize Snowflake compute usage, warehouse sizing, caching strategies, and manage cost-performance tradeoffs.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, observability, and reliability throughout the entire pipeline lifecycle.
• Enhance CI/CD processes for data development, focusing on version control, automated testing, and safe deployment practices.
• Collaborate with TPMs and client stakeholders to clarify requirements, define the scope of data projects, communicate progress, and align timelines.
• Work alongside engineers, analysts, and product teams to deliver data solutions that align with business objectives.
• Contribute to the documentation, coding standards, and best practices in data engineering.
• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering.
• A minimum of 2–3 years focused on Snowflake development.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including optimized queries, analytical functions, complex transformations, and performance tuning.
• Practical experience with Snowflake Warehouses, RBAC, Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, external stages, and data sharing.
• Strong background with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration platforms such as dbt, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or Matillion.
• Experience in modeling data for analytics and operational systems, including star/snowflake schemas and Data Vault methodologies.
• In-depth understanding of data quality, governance, schema design, and lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in working within AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud data ecosystems.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with tools like Tableau, Looker, Power BI, and other downstream consumers.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
