Senior Smart Contract Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and test secure smart contracts and decentralized applications using Solidity.

• Manage small to medium-sized smart contract projects from inception to deployment, overseeing the entire process.

• Participate in protocol initiatives such as Aave V4, vaults, and GHO.

• Build and sustain protocol-level infrastructure and tools.

• Work collaboratively with engineers and cross-functional teams to implement protocol features.

• Examine security vulnerabilities, replicate attack scenarios, and assist in mitigation and response efforts.

• Debug and resolve smart contract and protocol issues in both development and production settings.

• Evaluate code from other engineers, emphasizing correctness, testing, and security aspects.

• Keep abreast of developments in Ethereum, DeFi, and smart contract security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in creating and deploying production smart contracts using Solidity.

• Familiarity with DeFi protocols and a robust understanding of smart contracts, the EVM, and prevalent protocol design patterns.

• Capability to independently design and execute well-defined smart contract projects with limited scope.

• Profound technical knowledge in one or more areas of DeFi, including lending, vaults, stablecoins, liquidity, or protocol integrations.

• Strong comprehension of smart contract security, covering common vulnerability classes, testing methodologies, and secure development practices.

• Ability to make informed technical decisions and articulate reasoning and trade-offs effectively.

• Proven history of producing reliable, well-tested code and offering constructive technical feedback through code review processes.

• Commitment to staying updated on exploits, security research, tooling, and developments in the Ethereum ecosystem.

• Genuine enthusiasm for DeFi and web3 technology.

• Preferred: experience with DeFi vaults, large DeFi protocols or smart contract codebases, protocol adapters, or external protocol integrations.
