Senior Slot Game Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Lead the development of original mathematical models, game themes, and innovative mechanics for slot games.

• Conceptualize and take ownership of slot game ideas from initial concept to final execution, emphasizing entertainment value, pacing, volatility, RTP structure, and sustained player engagement.

• Create and validate all mathematical computations and simulations to ensure adherence to regulations and peak performance.

• Collaborate intimately with mathematicians to enhance mechanics and balance risk-reward frameworks.

• Work collaboratively with producers, animators, sound designers, engineers, and product teams to guarantee seamless execution.

• Interpret creative briefs and align game concepts with the broader product strategy and market positioning.

• Leverage player data and analytics to guide design choices and refine mechanics before and after launch.

• Develop comprehensive Game Design Documents (GDDs) and pitch materials that effectively convey gameplay mechanics, feature flow, and player experience objectives.

• Conduct playtests and iterate on games in development, providing structured feedback on mathematics, user interface, pacing, art, and sound integration.

• Assist external partners by clearly explaining game mechanics and value propositions to enhance commercial success.

• Evaluate post-launch performance data and apply insights to future game releases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Game Design, or equivalent professional experience.

• 4–5+ years of demonstrated experience in slot game design with successful launched titles.

• High proficiency in Excel for modeling, simulations, and probability calculations.

• Extensive knowledge of Combinatorics, Probability Theory, and Statistics.

• Proven ability to convert player insights and performance data into refined design decisions.

• Strong grasp of pacing, visual choreography, and entertainment flow in slot gaming.

• Experience with visual design or storyboarding tools to effectively communicate concepts.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
