This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Take ownership of and achieve quarterly objectives for the team, guiding engineers through uncertainty and ensuring support throughout the delivery process.
• Work in collaboration with infrastructure, product management, developer experience, and analytics throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
• Engage in ideation, articulate technical limitations, and collaborate on risk assessment and trade-off decisions.
• Identify technical solutions and operational processes that enhance incident readiness, response, and post-incident evaluations.
• Support the operations and availability of team artifacts through metrics, escalation, and on-call responsibilities.
• Establish or enhance code review and design standards and advocate for them through documentation and technical presentations.
• Foster team talent development through feedback, mentorship, and leading by example.
• Define SRE frameworks and best practices, create tooling, and offer training and consulting services.
• Provide data and insights on application performance.
• Guide the development of Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Lead Incident Management and Analysis efforts.
• Oversee Change Management and Deployment practices.
• Participate in service and architectural discussions.
• Suggest observability and alerting configurations.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and launching scalable backend systems.
• Proficiency in scripting and development languages such as Bash, Python, or Kotlin.
• Proven experience in developing highly available distributed systems.
• Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Significant experience in contributing to or leading Incident Lifecycle processes.
• At least 4 years of experience on a Site Reliability or Production Engineering team.
• Experience in defining technical plans for substantial features or system components.
• Proven ability to write high-quality, comprehensible, and reusable code.
• Experience implementing impactful changes within large codebases.
• Experience in developing tools and practices that promote safe changes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration with a global engineering team.
