Cloud Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute and oversee cloud infrastructure in GCP under the guidance of senior engineers

• Aid in maintaining a cloud infrastructure that is scalable, secure, and highly available

• Develop automation solutions that minimize manual effort and assist in infrastructure recovery from production incidents

• Diagnose problems and offer support for cloud infrastructure and observability tools

• Assist in ensuring that cloud infrastructure adheres to relevant security and regulatory standards

• Follow and contribute to the incident response process and associated tools

• Engage in monitoring and alerting tasks across the application stack

• Collaborate with the technology organization on infrastructure initiatives and cross-departmental workflow automation projects utilizing crons, n8n, and Airflow

• Participate in Ops team activities, including outage incidents, compliance obligations, sprint projects, metrics gathering, and documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

• More than 3 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably with GCP

• Familiarity with observability tools and methodologies, such as monitoring, logging, and tracing

• Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language, including Python, Bash, Java, or Go

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

• Some knowledge of network and application security practices or teams

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools to enhance work efficiency

• Availability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

• Must be authorized to work in the USA without the need for sponsorship or transfer
