This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Develop and set up Kubernetes workloads, including GKE clusters and/or Helm chart deployments.
• Configure Google Cloud project environments utilizing an existing Terraform baseline along with custom modules.
• Establish and uphold CI/CD pipelines and environment promotion workflows on Cloud Build.
• Deploy and manage Cloud Composer environments for orchestrating data engineering tasks.
• Provide support for Cloud Run deployments.
• Set up and maintain Google Cloud-native monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
• Create, maintain, and support deployment packages throughout the system acceptance process.
• Adhere to disciplined Git practices in infrastructure and deployment tasks.
• Diagnose issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work collaboratively with platform and engineering teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with architectural and delivery standards.
• Operate within specified Dev/QA environment access boundaries.
• Contribute to technical documentation, participate in code reviews, and manage ticket-based delivery processes.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of professional experience with Terraform on the Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficient in building and maintaining infrastructure from existing in-house Terraform modules, as well as developing new modules from scratch.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, including GKE cluster setup/management and Helm chart packaging and deployment.
• Hands-on expertise with Cloud Run, microservice architecture, and containerized workflows.
• Familiarity with deploying and maintaining Google Cloud Managed Service for Apache Airflow (Cloud Composer).
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and environment promotion workflows utilizing Cloud Build and Artifact Registry.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud-native monitoring, alerting, and logging using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
• Strong understanding of Git fundamentals, including branching strategies, pull requests, and structured commit practices.
• Experience in guiding development teams regarding branching and merge requirements.
• Background in documented designs, code reviews, and ticket-based delivery processes.
• Experience in security-conscious, regulated, or government environments, or similar compliance-driven delivery processes.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proficient in conversational English.
• Availability for at least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours.
• Capability to work within defined Dev/QA access boundaries and adhere to applicable security and operational requirements.
