Senior Site Reliability Engineer – Observability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance monitoring pipelines and observability tools across a globally distributed infrastructure.

• Establish and execute service-level monitoring based on key performance indicators (latency, traffic, errors, saturation).

• Minimize alert fatigue by creating meaningful, actionable alerts that engineers can rely on.

• Create and manage custom exporters, scripts, and integrations for the collection of metrics and logs.

• Collaborate with the data team to identify anomalies and derive data-driven operational insights.

• Comprehend service signals by determining what to measure, the reasons behind it, and the significance of the data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in distributed systems observability, including monitoring architecture, signal design, and dashboard creation.

• Proficiency in golden signal thinking, focusing on monitoring aspects that truly matter rather than those that are easy to quantify.

• Skills in alert design, aimed at reducing noise, creating actionable alerts, and ensuring manageable on-call duties.

• Competence in Python for scripting, developing custom exporters, automation, and data processing.

• Familiarity with Linux administration and debugging techniques.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
