This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• We are seeking a committed Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to take full responsibility for operational excellence within our Cloud Infrastructure.
• Your objective is to genuinely own these domains, ensuring they are resilient to individual contributions, and elevate the standard of our operational reliability.
• You will manage domains comprehensively: gaining in-depth knowledge, operating them effectively, and developing the automation and tools that render them routine.
• You will oversee the incident management process, which includes on-call quality, response efforts, post-mortems, and reducing incident frequency, detection time, and resolution time.
• Your role will involve automating infrequent but high-impact operations (like certificate renewals), rather than just focusing on frequent manual tasks.
• Over time, you will develop a strong sense of ownership for specific domains such as Temporal, observability, or Kubernetes operations, collaborating with the engineers involved.
• You will manage essential external relationships and integrations (such as LLM API providers and third-party services), which are currently handled manually and informally.
• You will take charge of cloud and platform cost visibility and efficiency, as well as the dynamics of how usage correlates with billing.
• Extensive experience in production operations, particularly with AWS and Kubernetes; familiarity with MongoDB and scripting/automation using Python is essential.
• A mindset focused on operations and reliability—you take pride in seamless systems—coupled with the drive to proactively engineer solutions rather than manually address issues.
• Strong judgment during incidents and risk assessments; maintaining composure and clarity under pressure is crucial.
• Ability to influence through building relationships and providing evidence, rather than relying on escalations; comfortable owning a domain and collaborating across teams.
• Bonus: Experience with vendor and cost management, as well as knowledge of Temporal and observability tools.
• Remote work opportunity (preferably for candidates on the US East Coast for better timezone coverage).
