Senior DevOps Consultant, all genders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and manage cloud infrastructure and platform services for our clients, primarily utilizing AWS (Azure or Google Cloud are also welcome), with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• Implement and oversee Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible, applying reusable and modular patterns across client projects.

• Design, deploy, and maintain containerized workloads using Docker/Podman and Kubernetes, adhering to cloud-native best practices.

• Develop and secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, and promote GitOps delivery models leveraging ArgoCD.

• Implement IAM, RBAC, and secrets management to integrate security and compliance throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Establish auditing, observability, and monitoring solutions utilizing AWS CloudTrail, Grafana, and Prometheus to ensure platform reliability and traceability.

• Collaborate directly with clients as a trusted advisor—from workshops and technical discovery to design and hands-on implementation.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring team members, engaging in code reviews, and disseminating knowledge across projects.

• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q Developer, or similar) to expedite IaC development, pipeline automation, and code quality, while adhering to a responsible AI approach aligned with governance and compliance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in DevOps, Platform, or Cloud Engineering roles, with demonstrated consulting experience directly engaging with clients.

• Proficient hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (Azure or Google Cloud are also acceptable).

• Strong understanding of IAM, RBAC, and secrets management practices.

• High proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform and Ansible.

• Experience working with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker/Podman and Kubernetes.

• Proven record of building and securing CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

• Familiarity with GitOps tools like ArgoCD.

• Practical experience with auditing and monitoring tools such as AWS CloudTrail, Grafana, and Prometheus.

• Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, or equivalent) and a keen interest in applying these tools to enhance delivery quality and productivity.

• Experience in the insurance industry or a solid background in working with open-source technologies is a beneficial plus.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, CKA/CKAD, HashiCorp) are highly advantageous.

• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong client focus and the ability to clearly communicate complex technical subjects to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficient in professional English; proficiency in German is a significant advantage.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to client locations.
