Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with fellow Site Reliability Engineers to develop highly scalable, cloud-native, and resilient applications and infrastructure within AWS.

• Manage and enhance extensible infrastructure-as-code utilizing Terraform.

• Acquire, maintain, and refine current deployment strategies.

• Provide observability, monitoring, and alerting frameworks for applications and infrastructure.

• Serve as an escalation point to identify and address root causes of production incidents.

• Assist in the design of globally distributed systems and processes.

• Recognize and rectify deficiencies in applications and infrastructure.

• Formulate approaches and customized solutions to intricate technical challenges.

• Lead projects alongside other Site Reliability Engineers and convey progress to project stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS/Ph.D. or equivalent experience plus 5 years in the field.

• Skilled in writing scripts in one or more programming languages, including Python, Ruby, or Javascript.

• Proven experience in designing and operating high-scale patterns in AWS.

• Familiarity with constructing and designing repeatable workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD); GitLab is preferred.

• Strong communication skills.

• Capability to manage time effectively across competing projects.

• Proficiency in quickly understanding and debugging complex distributed systems.

• Training in secure coding practices is preferred.

• Confidence in writing in Python is preferred.

• AWS Cloud Certification(s) - Professional Level is preferred.

• Familiarity with GCP and/or Azure is preferred.

• Experience in a public company environment is preferred.

• Contributions to open-source projects or experience with technical blogging is preferred.
