Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and manage scalable cloud and on-premises infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Chef, and Ansible.

• Develop solutions for monitoring, alerting, and logging to support service level objectives and ensure long-term reliability.

• Create deployment platforms and internal tools that facilitate efficient software delivery while upholding governance and operational excellence.

• Define and standardize infrastructure patterns, deployment methodologies, and configuration management practices.

• Mentor engineers, share technical knowledge, and establish infrastructure standards.

• Engage in an on-call rotation, lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and implement improvements for long-term reliability.

• Collaborate with Security, Networking, and Engineering teams to enhance reliability, performance, and resilience across the technology stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, building, and operating production infrastructure in both cloud and on-premises environments.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools, including Terraform, Chef, and Ansible.

• Strong programming capabilities in Python, Go, Ruby, or a comparable language.

• Experience in supporting applications developed using object-oriented programming languages.

• Familiarity with managing distributed systems, containerized workloads, and Kubernetes platforms such as Amazon EKS or Rancher.

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and web technologies, including DNS, CDNs, load balancing, VPCs, hybrid networking, and packet-level troubleshooting.

• Practical experience in implementing and supporting API gateways, reverse proxies, and modern infrastructure networking components.

• Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation.

• A gaming license issued by the relevant state agency may be required as a condition of employment.
