Senior Site Manager – HVDC Converter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will oversee our operations at the onshore station for the HVDC project Ostwind 4 located near Greifswald.

• Acting as our on-site representative, you will serve as the primary contact for our customer and will coordinate both your site team and our subcontractors involved in civil and installation activities.

• Mobilization: You will organize the mobilization of site personnel in conjunction with internal departments and subcontractors, and plan the site setup.

• Health & Safety: You will plan and coordinate all on-site activities in accordance with relevant occupational health, environmental, and safety regulations.

• Site management: You will direct all site operations, including supervising subcontractors in civil and installation tasks.

• Control & Reporting: You will track quality, costs, and schedules throughout the construction process and provide suitable reports to project management.

• Opportunities & Risks: You will identify and manage risks and opportunities related to site activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering with several years of professional experience is required.

• Previous experience as a site manager in substation projects or similar projects, such as oil & gas, power plants, or high-voltage component installation is preferred.

• A strong understanding of health and safety (EHS) in accordance with international standards; the ability to identify and halt unsafe practices is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership abilities, along with strong organizational skills and the capability to report effectively.

• A lean mindset: willing to engage in further training, adopt new tools, and pursue continuous improvement.

• Openness to travel within Germany is necessary.

• Proficiency in both written and spoken German and English is required.

• A valid driving license class B is mandatory.
