This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.
• Prepare, evaluate, negotiate, and finalize agreements with study sites.
• Negotiate investigator grant budgets and contractual terms within authorized limits.
• Ensure adherence to negotiation guidelines, approvals, contractual processes, budgetary standards, templates, and client expectations.
• Identify and evaluate legal, financial, and operational risks, escalating issues as necessary.
• Offer recommendations and alternative solutions for negotiations regarding Investigator Contracts.
• Collaborate with internal functional departments on site startup activities and contractual timelines.
• Align contract negotiations with the critical path for site activation to meet target cycle times.
• Complete tracking, reporting, periodic quality reviews, and peer feedback documentation.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members.
• Engage in country process improvement initiatives and participate in country team meetings.
• Serve as the country subject matter expert for Investigator Contracts training materials.
• Coordinate with Global Site Contracts to ensure compliance with global processes and corporate directives.
• Potentially lead client projects related to amendments/novations and oversee negotiations of confidentiality agreements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience.
• A combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience may be considered equivalent.
• Comprehensive understanding of contract law, including business, intellectual property, local tax, and stamp laws.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language.
• Proven ability to negotiate investigator grant budgets within approved limits.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development and the role of CROs.
• Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with PPD SOPs and WPDs.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and evaluate contractual risks and issues.
• Proficient in using automated systems and computerized applications.
• Customer-oriented communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to independently train and mentor staff.
• Capability to provide constructive feedback to Investigator Analysts.
• Strong problem-solving and risk analysis skills.
• Ability to negotiate Investigator Contracts in the best interest of both the company and clients.
• Capacity to work upright and/or stationary for 6–8 hours per day.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and maintain frequent mobility.
• Capability to occasionally crouch, stoop, bend, and twist.
• Ability to lift and carry 15–20 lbs.
• Regular and consistent attendance is required.
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
