Senior Shopify Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Comprehensive Shopify Delivery: Receive client briefs, strategize the execution plan, implement, conduct quality assurance, and deliver results — all independently.

• Custom Theme Creation: Design and modify Shopify themes utilizing Liquid, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.

• Shopify App & Integration Tasks: Install, set up, and troubleshoot Shopify applications. Develop unique solutions using Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin, Functions).

• Store Performance & Enhancement: Ensure stores are optimized for speed, conversions, and adhere to Shopify best practices.

• Client Task Oversight: Oversee your own task pipeline. Prioritize effectively, communicate updates, and identify obstacles — embodying true leadership.

• Team Mentorship (Future): As the team expands, guide junior developers and assess their work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of direct Shopify development experience (not limited to WordPress or general web development)

• Mastery of Liquid templating — it’s second nature to you

• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript (both vanilla and jQuery)

• Demonstrated experience in building and customizing Shopify 2.0 themes from the ground up

• Familiarity with Shopify APIs: Admin, Storefront, Checkout Extensions, Shopify Functions

• Experience with integrating Shopify apps (payments, shipping, reviews, subscriptions, etc.)

• Daily use of Git version control — it’s part of your routine

• Capability to manage tasks independently: comprehend briefs, ask pertinent questions, and deliver within deadlines
