Senior Shopify Project, Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee up to 7 simultaneous Shopify and eCommerce projects, which include:

• - Shopify development

• - Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) initiatives

• - Search Engine Optimization (SEO) retainers

• - Continuous support engagements

• Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, documentation, and quality of delivery

• Manage Asana boards, project timelines, risk management logs, and change requests

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among development, design, SEO, and email teams

• Guarantee that projects remain within defined scope and performance standards

• Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients

• Provide proactive updates and communication through Loom, email, and meetings

• Lead regular review calls and roadmap discussions

• Cultivate long-term client relationships based on trust, transparency, and growth

• Identify opportunities for upselling and retainer services when appropriate

• Conduct weekly delivery meetings and project evaluations

• Distribute tasks among designers and developers

• Perform Quality Assurance (QA) reviews and uphold agency standards

• Assist junior team members through mentorship and guidance on processes

• Appropriately escalate risks or obstacles to leadership

• Aid in enhancing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and internal documentation

• Contribute suggestions for operational efficiency and process optimization

• Support retrospective reviews and initiatives for continuous improvement

• Maintain well-organized project records and reporting systems

• Review project modifications and assist in budget management

• Ensure project alignment with business objectives and profitability goals

• Assist with quoting, scoping, and proposal preparation as necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in:

• - Project Management

• - Account Management

• - Operations in a Digital Agency

• - Shopify or eCommerce environments

• Strong knowledge of Shopify ecosystems and website delivery processes

• Proven experience managing multiple client projects at the same time

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

• Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana

• Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills

• Capability to work independently in a fully remote setting

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with CRO, SEO, and email marketing teams

• Knowledge of Shopify design and development workflows

• Experience managing distributed or international teams

• Understanding of agile delivery methodologies

• Strong mindset for Quality Assurance and process management
