Senior Shopify Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Shopify storefront from conception to launch, ensuring it is operational and stable by our targeted US launch date.

• Manage the frontend and ongoing operational tasks for the storefront.

• Have a comprehensive understanding of Shopify's architecture and best practices.

• Be capable of working across both frontend and backend as necessary.

• Oversee Shopify integrations with platforms such as Celigo, NetSuite, Amazon, and other ERP systems, including the associated data mapping.

• Possess a strong comprehension of backend integrations and APIs.

• Execute backend tasks on our existing Java stack as required, adhering to team standards.

• Independently troubleshoot production issues.

• Manage the quality assurance for your own work, with meticulous testing, careful releases, and a preventive QA mindset that prioritizes prevention over reactive solutions.

• Document technical decisions, architecture, and implementation details, ensuring systems are comprehensible for future developers.

• Work autonomously and proactively, maintaining clear and reliable communication with the team and escalating any risks or obstacles promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in developing Shopify storefronts, including proficiency in Liquid, Shopify APIs, Shopify Functions, and custom app development.

• Experience in integrating Shopify with third-party platforms such as ERP, OMS, or fulfillment systems. Familiarity with Celigo, NetSuite, or Amazon is highly advantageous but not mandatory.

• Strong grasp of APIs, system integrations, and data flows, with the capability to independently troubleshoot production issues.

• Comfortable working on the frontend while having a solid understanding of the backend architecture that underpins a modern Shopify ecosystem.

• Willingness to occasionally contribute to the Java tech stack.

• Proven experience in delivering production-ready software with a strong emphasis on testing, code quality, and maintainability.

• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, marketing, and commercial teams.

• A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset. You enjoy addressing problems, identifying enhancements, and communicating risks early rather than waiting for direction.
